Vajra is a self-taught visionary artist from Coastal Southern California.
Drawing inspiration from across cultures, space and time, Vajra’s art is a synthesis of timeless knowledge, contemporary aesthetics and his own unique vision. He has been drawing since he was born, and in 2009 began painting to bring his visions fully to life.
Since childhood, Vajra has been mesmerized by the dazzling beauty and complexity of life in all its forms and equally distraught by its destruction. It is this fierce love that motivates him as an artist: his brush is moved by the joy and sorrow of our planet.
Through his paintings Vajra shares his thoughts and mind and heart – his philosophy – with the world.
He creates art for the betterment of all beings, that we may better understand ourselves, each other, and how we can work together to create the world we’ve always known was possible.
Through his art, Vajra shares his philosophy and also the knowledge he has gleaned through his research and exploration of everything from the ancient origins of civilization to space-time geometry and free energy.
Vajra received a B.S. in Environmental studies at UC Santa Cruz where he attended on full scholarship.

I am self taught. I have been drawing since childhood, but seven years ago, I really began to seriously develop my gift. Six years ago, I began painting, taking my time, paying attention. While I consider myself self-taught, I have read a number of books that have helped me immensely and frequently study the art of people whose work I admire and ask them questions when possible.
